About The Front Porch
We created The Front Porch to share Redwood City real estate news, events, and community stories. The name, The Front Porch, was inspired by the iconic California bungalows with inviting porches you can find throughout Redwood City. Whether you're looking to buy or sell a home in Redwood City, we hope this website will help you get to know the area and community, as well as understand the local real estate market.
We both grew up in and around Redwood City and are happy to currently call it home. We're fascinated by the rich history, the architecture, and the diversity of people here. We believe that Redwood City, at the heart of Silicon Valley, is poised for growth and are so excited to be a part of it.

ABOUT Natalie WHEARLEY
Editor // Photographer
Natalie is a photographer and storyteller, specializing in lifestyle portraits and interior spaces. Her work strives to capture the essence of a person, a place, or a fleeting moment in a genuine and honest way.
Growing up it was difficult for her not to develop an interest in photography. She was born in Northern California amid colossal redwoods and persistent, rolling fog. Her dad's workshop was occupied by old 35mm cameras, light meters, tripods, and other gadgets. On the weekends they would sit for hours paging through photography books talking about composition, shadow, and light. The summer after she graduated from UC Berkeley, she bought her first DSLR camera to document her travels through Europe and fell in love with photography all over again.
Natalie's work has been published by Wiley & Sons, Dutton, The Stanford Report, The Sydney Morning Herald, and SF Indie Fashion. She has also worked on various projects at the Stanford d.school and Stanford Law School as a creative director, photographer, writer, and curator.
When you can't find her making pictures, foraging for flowers, or at home with Cliff and their baby boy, she is likely out exploring: hiking through the hills of Woodside, driving down Highway 1 on a sunny day, or navigating the menu of the latest restaurant in downtown.

About Cliff Whearley
Founder // Realtor
Cliff is a Realtor at Dwell Realtors, Inc. in San Carlos and has been helping clients buy and sell real estate for more than 10 years. Before joining Dwell in 2015, Cliff was a top producing Realtor at a large brokerage in San Carlos. Cliff has more than $100 million dollars in real estate sales and was awarded 2016 Dwell Realtors Realtor of the Year in recognition of superior production, dedication, and work ethic.
Born and raised on the Peninsula, and a resident of Redwood City for 24 years, Cliff is no stranger to the unique real estate market in the bay area. Being a lifetime resident has given him an intimate and extensive knowledge of the micro-neighborhoods that exist on the Peninsula, and how the market changes from city to city, block by block.
Cliff’s top priority is to ensure his clients feel comfortable and confident when it comes to buying or selling their home. More than 90% of Cliff’s business comes from referrals from past clients who have had an exceptional experience working with him. His clients appreciate his vast knowledge of the area's current real estate market, his creativity and out-of-the-box thinking, his ability to negotiate, and break down the home buying/selling process in a human-centered way.
He also believes in giving back to the community. Since 2013, Cliff has partnered with a non-profit called Home For A Home, which is a small group of real estate agents who donate a portion of their earnings to build homes for families in Guatemala. Over the past two years, he has built two homes for families in need.
He currently lives in the Mount Carmel neighborhood of Redwood City with his wife, Natalie, and baby, Jack. When he’s not with clients or working on renovating his 1920's bungalow, you can find Cliff spending time with his family, hitting the golf course, or skateboarding.
