About The Front Porch
We created The Front Porch to share Redwood City real estate news, events, and community stories. The name, The Front Porch, was inspired by the iconic California bungalows with inviting porches you can find throughout Redwood City. Whether you're looking to buy or sell a home in Redwood City, we hope we can help you get to know the area and community, as well as understand the local real estate market.
We both grew up in and around Redwood City and are happy to currently call it home. We're fascinated by the rich history, the architecture, and the diversity of people here. We believe that Redwood City, at the heart of Silicon Valley, is poised for growth and are so excited to be a part of it.
Editor // Photographer
I'm a photographer and storyteller, specializing in lifestyle portraits and interior spaces. My work strives to capture the essence of a person, a place, or a fleeting moment in a genuine and honest way.
Growing up it was difficult for me not to develop an interest in photography. I was born in Northern California amid colossal redwoods and persistent, rolling fog. My dad's workshop was occupied by old 35mm cameras, light meters, tripods, and other gadgets. The summer after I graduated from UC Berkeley, I bought her first DSLR camera to document my travels through Europe and fell in love with photography all over again.
My work has been published by Wiley & Sons, Dutton, The Stanford Report, The Sydney Morning Herald, and online with SF Indie Fashion and Style Me Pretty. I have also worked on various projects at the Stanford d.school and Stanford Law School as a creative director, photographer, writer, and curator.
When you can't find me making pictures, styling interiors, or at home with Cliff and our two boys, I am likely out exploring: hiking through the hills of Woodside, driving down Highway 1 on a sunny day, or navigating the menu of the latest restaurant in downtown.
Founder // Realtor
I am is a Realtor at Dwell Realtors, Inc. in San Carlos and have been helping clients buy and sell real estate for more than 10 years. Before joining Dwell in 2015, I was a top producing Realtor at a large brokerage in San Carlos. I have more than $100 million dollars in real estate sales and was awarded 2016 Dwell Realtors Realtor of the Year in recognition of superior production, dedication, and work ethic.
Born and raised on the Peninsula, and a resident of Redwood City for 26 years, I'm no stranger to the unique real estate market in the bay area. Being a lifetime resident has given me an intimate and extensive knowledge of the micro-neighborhoods that exist on the Peninsula, and how the market changes from city to city, block by block.
I also believe in giving back to the community. Since 2013, I have partnered with a non-profit called Home For A Home, which is a small group of real estate agents who donate a portion of their earnings to build homes for families in Guatemala.
I currently live in the Mount Carmel neighborhood of Redwood City with my wife, Natalie, and two sons, Jack and Owen. When I'm not with clients or working on renovating our 1920's bungalow, you can find me spending time with my family, hitting the golf course, or skateboarding.
