We just put together an all new about page for the site, and thought this might be a great opportunity to introduce ourselves. We’re Cliff and Natalie Whearley, the voices behind The Front Porch.
Cliff is a Realtor at Dwell Realtors, Inc. and has been practicing real estate since 2007. He was born and raised on the Peninsula and has been a resident of Redwood City for 23 years. His clients appreciate his vast knowledge of the area’s current real estate market, his creativity and out-of-the-box thinking, his ability to negotiate, and break down the home buying and selling process in a human-centered way. Cliff is the lead behind the real estate news, market updates, and is hoping to provide resources and advice for buyers and sellers in Redwood City. When he’s not with clients or working on projects around the house, you can find him hitting the golf course or skateboarding.
I’m Natalie and I’m a photographer and storyteller. I grew up in Redwood City and San Carlos and went to college just across the bay at UC Berkeley. My photography has been published by Wiley & Sons, Dutton, The Stanford Report, and SF Indie Fashion. I have also worked on various projects at the Stanford d.school and Stanford Law School as a creative director, photographer, writer, and curator. My work strives to capture the essence of a person, a place, a mood, or a fleeting moment in a genuine and honest way. I’m hoping to do the same with capturing Redwood City through posts about the community, local business owners and home design. When you can’t find me making pictures, foraging for flowers, or at home with Cliff and our baby boy, I’m likely out exploring.
We met in high school and got married in 2012, not too long after purchasing our first home. We lived in a little white log cabin, nestled in Emerald Hills. We had so much fun renovating, decorating, and learning to make a house a home. Since then, our family has grown with the addition of a baby boy and we moved to a bungalow in Mt. Carmel
We created The Front Porch as a space to share real estate resources and community stories. We love living in Redwood City and are fascinated by the rich history, the architecture, and the diversity of people here. We believe that Redwood City, at the heart of Silicon Valley, is poised for growth and we are so excited to be a part of that.
The name was inspired by the iconic California bungalows with inviting porches you can find throughout Redwood City. Like a front porch, we invite you to stay awhile and drop us line if you want to chat! Whether you’re looking to buy or sell a home in Redwood City, or just want to connect with the local community, we hope this site will help you get to know the area and understand the local real estate market.
