"To keep decor from becoming one-note, swap in something unexpected—here, we softened mid-century silhouettes with high-romance ruching." —Style Note
"For a tablescape that feels of the season, I let elements of nature dictate the palette. Think fragrant herbs in a tiny pot or wispy blooms from the garden atop a place setting. 'Simple ideas, thoughtfully executed' is my mantra." —Athena Calderone, on Entertaining
