Local Businesses Come Together This Valentine's Day

There is nothing quite like a bouquet of fresh flowers on Valentine's Day. This year, we've collaborated with a local florist and artist to bring you something extra special. The first 100 Valentine's Day orders for flowers from Aili Ice will receive a free card with original artwork by Natalie Ciccioricco, sponsored by The Front Porch.

In late December, a fire at Broadway Masala (a well-known Indian restaurant) had a devastating fire that destroyed their space and caused smoke damage to neighbors Aili ice and Flint. All three businesses are recovering and rebuilding. In the meantime, Aili Ice, has moved into a temporary space at 921 Main St. and is also designing and selling arrangements on the sidewalk in front of her shop.

She reached out to us to see if we could help spread the word that they are still open and taking orders for Valentine's Day. Not only did we want to help where we could, but we also thought it would be a great opportunity to connect some of the local business owners we have met through running the blog. Natalie Ciccioricco graciously donated her time and beautiful artwork for the collaboration. We had the cards printed at a local print shop and are so excited that the first 100 customers will receive a card with their order.

So this Valentine's Day, buying flowers will not only put a smile on your special someone's face, but it will also be recognizing people coming together as a community. Order your flowers online or by phone from Aili Ice this week and pick them up on Friday or Saturday to kick off your Valentine's Day weekend. And be sure to get your order in early to get an original card, on us!
