Music on the square is officially starting tonight! Head down to the Courthouse Square for good times and good music by BeaufunK, a New Orleans style funk band. The concert will be from 6:00-8:00pm.

Before the concert starts, head down Hamilton Way in front of the movie theater to see the city's latest public art project. Students from Sequoia and Woodside High Schools were asked to take photos downtown that they thought encompassed Redwood City. Their work will be displayed for the next year.

Speaking of art, The Main Gallery, is opening a new show this weekend. Summer-ized is a playful art exhibit that combines vibrant colors with the relaxed spirit of the season. The show opens Thursday, June 2nd and runs through Sunday, June 26th. The gallery will be hosting a reception open to the public with the artists on Saturday, June 4th from 6pm-9pm.

For a blast from the past check out this Redwood City promo video from the 1980s. There are appearances from Marine World and Circle Star Theater and plenty of shots of downtown!

And here are this weekend's open houses. There are quite a few new listings this week, including this Mt. Carmel Spanish charmer and this Emerald Hills luxury home.
